Sample Post [31 Jul 2010|05:51pm]
Drumming his finger's ever-so lightly on the dumpster he sat upon, humming Smoke on the Water while waiting patiently for Tia to finish feeding at the end of the allyway between two large buildings. In the nearest big city they could find Benjamin and Tia enjoy their hunt before retuning to Forks. After gazing at the stars for quite some time Benjamin noticed a large puddle of water under the drain of a gutter across the way. He could see the city light's reflecting off of it. Being bored out of his mind and seeing he had time to spare he decided to have some fun. Hoping off of the dumpster nearly flying across the ally, landing so gently that no sign of a disturbance was detectable in the murky water. Without thrusting his palm forward, or closing his eye's to concentrate like it's done in the movies he looks at the ground like he would at a tomato, indifferent. After a short moment the concrete began to rise beneath the water creating a peak. With a grin from ear to ear a small gust of wind swirled around him brushing against his stone skin, a piece of yesterday's news paper swooped in and landed on Benjamin's hand which he then lifted to examine. After a quick glance he let the top half of what seemed to be the sports page land on the peak with a swift release.

Benjamin bent at the waist to get a better view of the peak. Glancing up in Tia's direction he figured that she would be a little longer, so he sat on the ground in front of the island he had created, legs crossed with his chin rested on his fist. With the speeding, screatching, and honking cars just a yard or two away he looked around to make sure no one could see what he was up to. Setting the paper on fire at his will, the flame reflecting off of his eyes as if the were a blaze within them. As the fire burns out on his small island Tia emerges from the back of the ally ridding her mouth of any spilled blood with the sleeve of her shirt. She taped Ben on the shoulder to let him know it was time to depart. As he got up from his seat the peak quickly sank back into the ground putting out what was left of the fire. Benjamin glanced back at what was left of his mini island as they head out towards the street. He grined thinking back on the days in Eygpt when even something as simple as this was a difficult task and now knowing he could move mountains if he had to.
